Safety is a Core Tenet of our Operating Philosophy.

From how we react in pivotal moments to what we do to solve problems long-term, we’re trained to seek sound and secure methods from the get-go. Safety is a top value for everyone at Artisan, whether they are a front-line manager or field team member. Safety is a mindset infused deeply within our culture. Keeping personnel safe is more than a checkmark on a task list. It’s the right thing to do.

Safe Production starts on Day 1.

All Employees participate in new-hire safety orientation and annual safety training. Our dedicated in-house safety department provides comprehensive training for all Artisan team members, including:

OSHA 10, MSHA Part 48, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), First Aid and other competent person training. Additional certifications include Welding, Rigging and Signalperson. Project Supervisors are trained in OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED and many other various certifications. The carpenters, millwrights, laborers and operating engineers all receive safety training through their union apprenticeship/affiliated programs as well.

A strong adherence to Safety Standards & beyond.

We employ full-time safety professionals who are dedicated to safe production and who promote safety awareness at every stage of construction, from project estimating to field execution. They oversee all company safety programs and regularly visit project sites to monitor safety compliance and provide practical safety guidance in the field.

Our Culture revolves around Safety, at every level.

Supervisors meet with crews each morning to conduct a daily Job Safety Analysis in which they discuss job tasks, potential hazards, and methods to mitigate hazards, unique to each job. They are constantly observing job site performance and correcting any unsafe practices. The safety culture at Artisan starts from the top and is ingrained into the very fabric of the company at every level.

Through safety training, understanding of safe work practices and enforcing personal accountability, Artisan ensures employees have the knowledge to execute safe production successfully.
